When you join the Alpha Omega (AO) Legion you have the chance to earn awards and ribbons to be shown on your profile
Academic: The Academic awards are awards given to members of AO Legion Star Trek:Online that complete certain academic achievements while attending the Starfleet Academy at Starbase 31. The Awards are listed below:
Basic Academic Achievement: Awarded to members of the AO Legion STO Fleet that complete ALL of the Basic Academy Courses offered including the Basic RP Class.
Advanced Academic Achievement: Awarded to members of the AO Legion STO Fleet that complete ALL of the Advanced Academy Courses offered including ALL profession classes and electives.
Elite Academic Achievement: Awarded to members of the AO Legion STO Fleet that complete ALL of the Elite Academy Courses offered including ALL of the required and elective classes.

Battles: The Battles awards are given to members of the AO Legion STO Fleet that complete from start to finish a Fleet Action or PVP event with the AOL Fleet. There are 5 awards given for each battle ribbon.
Battle of Deep Space 9: The Battle of Deep Space 9 ribbon is awarded to members of the AOL STO Fleet that complete both the interior station battle and exterior station battle during a Legion Day event. There are 5 levels of this award ranging from Novice (1) to Master (5)
Battle of Laurentian System: The Battle of Laurentian System ribbon is awarded to members of the AOL STO Fleet that complete the ground battle at Laurentian Outpost in the Fleet Action during a Legion Day event. There are 5 levels of this award ranging from Noice (1) to Master (5)
Laurentian Blockade Ribbon: The Laurentian Blockade Ribbon is awarded to members of the AOL STO Fleet that complete the space defend battle at Laurentian Outpost in the Fleet Action during a Legion Day event. There are 5 levels of this award ranging from Novice (1) to Master (5)
PVP Participant: The PVP Participant ribbon is awarded to members of the AOL STO Fleet that competes in a PVP battle for legion day with the AOL Fleet in a PVP Event. There are 5 levels of this award ranging from Novice (1) to Master (5)

Service: The Service ribbons are awarded to members of the AOL STO Fleet for active duty or service within being a member of the AO Legion.
Extended Service Citation: This citation is awarded to members of the AOL STO Fleet that have been on active duty or service within the AOL Fleet for 6 months.
Career Service Citation: This citation is awarded to members of the AOL STO Fleet that have been on active duty or service within the AOL Fleet for one year.
Citation of Exceptional Service: The Citation of Excetional Service is awarded to members of the AOL STO Fleet that have been on active duty or service within AOL fleet for two years or more.
